Abstract |

A mobile ad hoc network is a collection of mobile nodes in which a pair of nodes communicates by sending messages either over a direct wireless link, or over a sequence of wireless links including one or more intermediate nodes. Only pairs of nodes that lie within one another's transmission radius can directly communicate with each other. Wireless link failures occur when previously communicating nodes move such that they are no longer within transmission range of each other. Further when the speed increases route failures also occurs rapidly and also affects the performance of the system, such as route discovery time increases, the number of packets dropped increases and also the delay increases. In this paper a new approach is proposed to improve the performance of adhoc network when nodes move with different mobility. |
