In this study, speech characteristics from before and after alcohol intoxication has been comparatively analyzed through speech analysis to obtain the degree of intoxication along with its parameters. However, the overload of the input signal must be considered prior to anything else. When distinguishing intoxication under overload conditions, an error cannot be avoided. Therefore, distinguishing the level of intoxication must be conducted by using a method that is not significantly influenced by overload. Thus, reliability of distinguishing the degree of intoxication was enhanced by pre-processing the overload to compensate the spectrum. The SNR and intoxication distinguishment rate resulted comparatively better at about 2 and 5% overload clipping rate, however, resulted in an error and increase at 10% overload clipping rate. |
