Abstract |

A mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile nodes communicating with each other using multi-hop wireless. One of the main challenges of MANET is the design of robust routing algorithms that adapt to the frequent and randomly changing network topology. A variety of routing protocols have been proposed and several of them have been extensively simulated or implemented as well. In this paper, we compare and evaluate the performance metrics of two types of routing protocols - Ad-hoc On-demand Multipath Distance Vector (AOMDV) routing protocol , which is a multipath routing protocol and Destination sequence distance vector (DSDV) routing protocol based on various simulations like varying pause time and varying maximum speed of the moving nodes. |
