Cloud provides a vast range of computing services to the millions of diverse users across the world. Attributed to its large dimensions, complexity, and openness; delivery of services is susceptible to failures in cloud. The services which are to be delivered within the specified deadlines are worst affected in the event of a failure. Therefore, fault tolerance is always consideredas a vital matter of concern in the cloud environment. This paper contributes towards this context and proposes a robust fault tolerance framework in cloud with better resource utilization. The proposed model is tested through extensive simulation experiments. Results are obtained in terms of task delay, service reliability and system throughput. |
